Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Foster a love of learning and a growth mindset in all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a dynamic and inclusive science curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure academic success.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuous professional development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s values of Aspire, Work Hard, and Be Kind.
- Support the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant scientific field.
- Experience in teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 Science.
- Recent and relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting new teachers.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
