Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Foster a love of learning and a growth mindset in all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a dynamic and inclusive science curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure academic success.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuous professional development.

  • Support the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Experience in teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 Science.
  • Recent and relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting new teachers.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
