Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s vision and curriculum.
- Support student progress through effective assessment and targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and share best teaching methods.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular Science activities and events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress.
- Participate in the school’s professional development programs and safeguarding training.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject degree and QTS.
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to the school’s Catholic values and ethos.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities where appropriate.
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE and A Level Science qualifications.
- Previous experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Familiarity with the latest developments in Science education and pedagogy.
- Experience in using technology to enhance Science teaching and learning.
