The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Science Teacher (Physics) to join a dedicated and experienced department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality science education and inspire the next generation of scientists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Prepare and implement fully developed lesson plans in line with the AQA curriculum specifications.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and targeted intervention.
- Collaborate with the Science Department to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment strategies.
- Participate in department meetings, staff training, and other professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Work closely with the Head of Science and other members of the department to ensure consistent standards of teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with experience in Physics.
- Proven ability to deliver Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong knowledge of AQA curriculum specifications for GCSE and A Level Science.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Experience in teaching Combined Science Trilogy or individual Science subjects.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with new science facilities and laboratory environments.
