The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Science Teacher (Physics) to join a dedicated and experienced department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality science education and inspire the next generation of scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Prepare and implement fully developed lesson plans in line with the AQA curriculum specifications.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and targeted intervention.
  • Collaborate with the Science Department to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment strategies.
  • Participate in department meetings, staff training, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Work closely with the Head of Science and other members of the department to ensure consistent standards of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with experience in Physics.
  • Proven ability to deliver Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong knowledge of AQA curriculum specifications for GCSE and A Level Science.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Experience in teaching Combined Science Trilogy or individual Science subjects.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with new science facilities and laboratory environments.
