Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of science lessons and practical activities.
  • Maintain and manage science equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and safely stored.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of science curriculum and resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all science-related activities.
  • Provide technical support during science experiments and investigations.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance schedules.
  • Assist in the organisation of science events and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualification in science or a related field.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in a science laboratory environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with laboratory equipment and chemical safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of current science curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Experience in using digital tools and resources in science education.
