Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Department in the management and development of the Mathematics curriculum.
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of Mathematics across all Key Stages.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to teaching staff within the department.
- Contribute to the professional development and training of Mathematics teachers.
- Monitor and report on student progress and attainment in Mathematics.
- Assist in the management of departmental resources and timetabling.
- Promote a culture of high academic standards and student engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Proven leadership experience within a school department.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and departmental leadership.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and pedagogical approaches.
- Experience with data analysis and student performance tracking.
- Familiarity with Catholic values and ethos in an educational setting.
