Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Department in the management and development of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of Mathematics across all Key Stages.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to teaching staff within the department.
  • Contribute to the professional development and training of Mathematics teachers.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and attainment in Mathematics.
  • Assist in the management of departmental resources and timetabling.
  • Promote a culture of high academic standards and student engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Proven leadership experience within a school department.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and departmental leadership.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and pedagogical approaches.
  • Experience with data analysis and student performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with Catholic values and ethos in an educational setting.
