The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Art and Design Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and educating students in creative subjects. You will contribute to a dynamic and supportive learning environment that values innovation, cultural sensitivity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Art and Design Technology according to departmental schemes of work and curriculum requirements
- Prepare and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with the Head of Department on curriculum development, internal exams, and policy implementation
- Provide regular written reports to parents and maintain open communication with families
- Support the school’s moral education programme and participate in pastoral activities
- Cover lessons, invigilate exams, and assist with school events and activities
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, INSET training, and CPD sessions
- Develop and share teaching resources and support colleagues in professional development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor of Education or a subject degree plus PGCE
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience
- In-depth knowledge of Art and Design Technology
- Fluency in English
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Cross-cultural work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Experience in pastoral care or student mentoring
