The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Art Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping student creativity and artistic development. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across all Key Stages up to A Level, contributing to a dynamic and innovative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach across all secondary Key Stages up to A Level using a variety of delivery methods.
- Maintain discipline and encourage good practice in behaviour and standards of work.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the subject’s strategic action plan.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
- Prepare and update subject materials, including schemes of work and lesson plans.
- Comply with all current school policies and procedures.
- Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support student learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Fully qualified teacher with BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a high-quality department.
- Ability to teach up to GCSE/IGCSE with a proven track record in performance outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Confidence in delivering and contributing to the curriculum.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering innovative lessons based on current pedagogical thinking.
- Experience working within a collaborative school community.
