Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective chemistry lessons aligned with the IB and Swiss Baccalaureate curricula.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and scientific inquiry.
- Monitor and assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Support the development of students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Stay current with developments in the field of chemistry and science education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the IB and Swiss Baccalaureate curricula.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student-centered, inquiry-based teaching methods.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international school setting.
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., French, German, Arabic).
- Familiarity with STEAM education and interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
- Experience with digital learning tools and online platforms.
