The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective chemistry lessons aligned with the IB and Swiss Baccalaureate curricula.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and scientific inquiry.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Support the development of students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of chemistry and science education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB and Swiss Baccalaureate curricula.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered, inquiry-based teaching methods.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international school setting.
  • Multilingual abilities (e.g., French, German, Arabic).
  • Familiarity with STEAM education and interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
  • Experience with digital learning tools and online platforms.
