The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary Chemistry Teacher to join our accomplished department. This role offers the chance to teach across the full range of GCSE and A-Level, shaping the future of students in a supportive and innovative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry across a range of ability levels, from GCSE to A-Level.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and policy.
- Monitor student progress and use data to inform teaching and support learning outcomes.
- Prepare students for public examinations and ensure accurate assessment and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with parents through written reports and attend Parents’ Evenings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental initiatives and curricular improvements.
- Participate in professional development and keep up to date with curriculum innovations.
- Support beginning teachers and contribute to the overall success of the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience teaching both GCSE and A-Level in a British Curriculum school.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Chemistry.
- Understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and student progress.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum innovation and leadership in the classroom.
- Familiarity with UAE educational standards and cultural expectations.
- Experience with DSIB inspection frameworks and teaching in international schools.
