The Opportunity:

A Secondary Computer Science and Mathematics Teacher is needed to deliver high-quality instruction in both subjects. This role offers the chance to shape the future of students through innovative teaching and curriculum development in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in both Computer Science and Mathematics to Secondary students.
  • Develop and implement an innovative Computer Science curriculum, including areas such as programming, data science, and digital citizenship.
  • Collaborate with the Mathematics department to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with English as an Additional Language.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and extracurricular activities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and integrate them into teaching practices.
  • Prepare and assess students in accordance with (I)GCSE, A Level, and IB standards.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering care, respect, and academic excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS).
  • Experience teaching (I)GCSE and A Level Computer Science and Mathematics to a high standard.

Preferred

  • A master's or postgraduate qualification in a related subject.
  • Experience working with EAL pupils (English as an Additional Language).
  • Experience or interest in being an examiner for (I)GCSE and/or A Level.
