A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Computing Teacher to join its dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality computing lessons to students aged 11-18 across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB Diploma.
- Develop and implement engaging, innovative curricula that align with the National Curriculum and IB standards.
- Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals through individualized instruction and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
- Participate actively in the school’s extra-curricular and pastoral programs.
- Stay up to date with developments in computing education and integrate new technologies into the classroom.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents, ensuring a clear understanding of progress and achievement.
- Contribute to the wider school community through professional development and team collaboration.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A teaching degree or post-graduate diploma (B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE or equivalent).
- Experience in teaching computer science or a related subject at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with the British education system and experience with the National Curriculum.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience teaching the IB Diploma or IB Careers Programme.
- Background in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative computing curricula.
- Proficiency in using modern teaching technologies and software.
