The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Curriculum Coordinator, you will provide leadership in curriculum development and support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences. This role is central to ensuring the school’s curriculum remains dynamic, research-based, and aligned with student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support faculty, principals, and assistant principals in advancing curriculum initiatives, including unit development and assessment design.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to implement school-wide initiatives and special projects.
  • Provide guidance to teachers in planning and developing effective curriculum, assessment, and reporting practices.
  • Lead curriculum meetings with middle and high school leadership to ensure alignment across divisions.
  • Facilitate professional learning opportunities for faculty to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of discipline-specific action plans.
  • Engage in data-driven analysis of student learning to inform curriculum improvements.
  • Work with the Director of Learning and other teams to ensure consistent and research-based teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in curriculum development and collaboration across divisions.
  • Experience in staff development and implementation of professional learning programs.
  • Demonstrated success in classroom teaching and knowledge of effective assessment practices.
  • Strong understanding of UbD unit development and curriculum mapping.
  • Advanced ICT skills with a proven track record of integrating technology into teaching.
  • Excellent facilitation and organizational skills with the ability to lead teacher groups effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation for curriculum improvement.
  • Background in school-wide literacy initiatives.
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural educational environment.
