Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, student-centred learning experiences in Design and Technology
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement collective learning schemes
- Support students in achieving personalised learning journeys that reflect their interests and strengths
- Build a positive, inclusive, and rigorous learning environment that encourages student agency
- Inspire trust and confidence among parents and families through consistent communication and involvement
- Promote an entrepreneurial mindset and creative thinking in students through innovative teaching methods
- Ensure all teaching practices align with the school's policies, values, and safeguarding standards
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of Design and Technology curriculum and pedagogy
- Ability to design and implement innovative learning experiences
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in international education, including IB, AP, or British curriculum schools
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to a team-based learning culture
- Passion for fostering creativity, problem-solving, and innovation in students
- Experience with technology integration in the classroom
