Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, student-centred learning experiences in Design and Technology
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement collective learning schemes
  • Support students in achieving personalised learning journeys that reflect their interests and strengths
  • Build a positive, inclusive, and rigorous learning environment that encourages student agency
  • Inspire trust and confidence among parents and families through consistent communication and involvement
  • Promote an entrepreneurial mindset and creative thinking in students through innovative teaching methods
  • Ensure all teaching practices align with the school's policies, values, and safeguarding standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of Design and Technology curriculum and pedagogy
  • Ability to design and implement innovative learning experiences
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in international education, including IB, AP, or British curriculum schools
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to a team-based learning culture
  • Passion for fostering creativity, problem-solving, and innovation in students
  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom
