The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Education Director, you will lead and inspire the school’s secondary teams, driving academic excellence and supporting the delivery of outstanding education. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the lives of thousands of young people and shape the future of education at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the academic functions of the school’s secondary academies, setting and delivering ambitious academic targets.
- Support the deployment of staff and resources to ensure consistent quality and improvement across all secondary schools.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Executive Team to enhance the school’s capacity to deliver high standards of education.
- Embed best practices and research-proven approaches to drive continuous improvement and raise academic standards across KS3-5.
- Contribute to leadership across the school’s wider operations, including the Teaching School Hub, enrichment programme, and safeguarding initiatives.
- Work with senior educators to inspire and develop leadership capabilities within the Trust.
- Engage in national policy debates and stay up to date with the latest developments in the education sector.
- Articulate sustainable impact and improvements in student progress and attainment across multiple settings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in raising academic standards across KS3-5 and embedding best practice.
- Experience as a Principal or Head Teacher, with a track record in school transformation and system-level leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire senior educators within the Trust.
- Strong understanding of non-negotiable quality standards and evidence-based decision-making.
- Commitment to realising the potential of all students and driving sustainable improvement.
Preferred
- Experience in contributing to national policy debates and staying current with education sector developments.
- Demonstrated ambition, courage, and aspiration in driving educational excellence.
- Experience with multi-academy trust operations and strategic leadership at scale.
