Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging English language courses tailored to EAL and ESL learners.
  • Implement data-driven teaching strategies to support student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with a curriculum team to ensure alignment with academic standards and best practices.
  • Foster a student-centered learning environment that promotes critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development through pastoral care and mentorship.

  • Establish strong rapport with students and colleagues in a Dual Language Immersion setting.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or related fields; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to support student progress for a wide range of EAL learners.
  • Experience in planning and assessment with a rigorous approach.
  • Understanding of adolescent development and a commitment to student growth.
  • Ability to apply local Chinese educational standards and new technologies in teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Dual Language Immersion environment.
  • Interest in and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Background in co-curricular or pastoral care activities.
  • Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE or IB.
