Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging English lessons that promote critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Create and implement effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student achievement.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed of student progress and needs.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Support the school’s mission through involvement in extracurricular activities and professional development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental strategies and initiatives, with potential for leadership opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum qualification of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years teaching experience in secondary education.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective English lessons.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Leadership experience or interest in taking on a Head of Department role.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE or GCE A level.
  • Strong experience in integrating technology into the classroom.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching.
