Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging English lessons that promote critical thinking and communication skills.
- Create and implement effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student achievement.
- Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed of student progress and needs.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Support the school’s mission through involvement in extracurricular activities and professional development initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of departmental strategies and initiatives, with potential for leadership opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum qualification of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years teaching experience in secondary education.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective English lessons.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Leadership experience or interest in taking on a Head of Department role.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE or GCE A level.
- Strong experience in integrating technology into the classroom.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching.
