The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the school’s academic and holistic development goals.
  • Support students in achieving excellent IGCSE and IB Diploma results through engaging and effective teaching methods.
  • Utilize modern technology, including Microsoft products such as Teams and Class Notebook, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement co-curricular projects and learning experiences.
  • Promote core values such as respect, kindness, and integrity within the classroom and school community.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to the school’s commitment to innovation in education.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and support their personal and academic growth.
  • Assist with the development of curriculum materials and assessment strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A UK-recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching English in the secondary phase, ideally within the English National Curriculum.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, equivalent to a first language communicator.
  • Recent and successful teaching experience in a similar educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IGCSE or the IB Diploma.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products such as Teams, Class Notebook, and Assignments.
  • Ability to teach a second subject as an additional contribution to the school.
