Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and innovative English lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure academic success and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the professional development of the teaching team.
- Design and implement effective curriculum and assessment strategies, including EAL/SL and Media Studies.
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues through a range of platforms and contexts.
- Participate in the school’s wider community, including events and initiatives that promote student engagement and school values.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
- Stay up to date with current educational research and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies into the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A university degree in English or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level, including IGCSE and/or KS3.
- Experience teaching EAL/SL students.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and student success.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Media Studies at IGCSE and/or A Level.
- A CELTA qualification.
- Experience with curriculum design and development.
- Interest in educational research and innovation.
- Experience with global educational initiatives or collaborations.
