The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective French lessons to secondary students in line with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that support student progress and attainment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to support continued improvement.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of the curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Support the school’s ethos of inclusivity and student wellbeing.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote student success.
  • Stay up to date with developments in French education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge in French.
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching within the National Curriculum for England.
  • Proven ability to teach French at KS3 to KS5 levels.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching additional subjects within the school curriculum.
  • Familiarity with AI-based learning initiatives and innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience working in an international or British International School setting.
