The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a motivated and qualified Secondary French Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role offers the opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 and contribute to an expanding Modern Foreign Language department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French to Secondary students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum of England and Wales and CIE IGCSE and A Level French syllabi.
- Support students in developing fluency in French and English, with a strong focus on grammar and usage.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Provide pastoral support through Form Tutoring, where applicable.
- Engage in Continuous Professional Development and benefit from subject-specific training.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Secondary French education.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum of England and Wales and CIE IGCSE and A Level French syllabi.
- Fluency in both French and English with a deep understanding of grammar and usage.
- Experience teaching French in Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Ability to meet the needs of Secondary learners effectively.

- Experience with Form Tutoring.
- Background in the ECT (Early Career Teacher) process.
