The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Geography Teacher - I&S, you will play a pivotal role in shaping students’ understanding of the world through the IB DP curriculum. You will contribute to an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that fosters critical thinking and prepares students for global challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography to secondary students following the IB DP curriculum.
- Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lesson plans that promote student-centered learning.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and enhance student learning experiences.
- Participate in curriculum development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Valid teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching secondary Geography.
- Strong understanding of the IB DP curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and professional development.
Preferred
- Experience with IB DP Geography curriculum.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
