Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver creative, inquiry-based lessons in Geography and History across key stages.
  • Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and global awareness through engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support diverse learners and promote independent thought.
  • Assess student learning effectively and use data to inform planning and improve student progress.
  • Integrate digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to cross-curricular initiatives and the wider school community.
  • Support students in developing a strong understanding of their role as responsible global citizens.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography and History.
  • Experience with the UK/IGCSE/A-level curriculum.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an international school setting.
  • Experience with teaching English as a second language.
  • Confidence in using digital tools and technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in developing and delivering inquiry-based learning approaches.
