The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated Secondary Geography Teacher to inspire students up to Year 13. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners through innovative teaching and a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography to students from KS3 to A Levels following the National Curriculum of England and Pearson International Curriculum.
- Develop and deliver engaging, creative, and challenging lessons that promote critical thinking and global awareness.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of financial literacy programmes.
- Support the wider school community through participation in extra-curricular activities and school initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality educational experience for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student performance and development.
- Stay up to date with current educational practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current educational practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant experience as a teacher of Geography in a UK or International School following the Pearson International Curriculum and the National Curriculum of England from KS3 to A Levels.
Preferred
- Experience with financial literacy programme development.
- Experience with international education and cross-cultural collaboration.
- EU passport holder or possession of a permit allowing work and residence in Luxembourg.
