Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise and conduct exciting, dynamic lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level History curriculum
- Provide high quality teaching and learning experiences that challenge and engage students
- Assess and monitor student achievement through a variety of methods
- Support students’ academic and personal development through pastoral care
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and stimulating learning environment
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice
- Contribute to the development of the school’s academic and extracurricular programmes
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and performance
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Completed a PGCE (or equivalent)
- At least two years’ experience in a UK state school
- Qualified to teach History at secondary level
Preferred
- Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level History
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
