Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise and conduct exciting, dynamic lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level History curriculum
  • Provide high quality teaching and learning experiences that challenge and engage students
  • Assess and monitor student achievement through a variety of methods
  • Support students’ academic and personal development through pastoral care
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and stimulating learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s academic and extracurricular programmes
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and performance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Completed a PGCE (or equivalent)
  • At least two years’ experience in a UK state school
  • Qualified to teach History at secondary level

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level History
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
