Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in History and Geography at KS3.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the National Curriculum for England.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching methods.
- Participate in school events and community activities that promote the school’s mission and values.
- Support the personal and academic development of students through mentorship and guidance.
- Stay updated with current educational trends and continuously improve teaching practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant UK teaching qualification: minimum of a BEd. or BA/BSc + PGCE/QTS in Humanities/History or Geography.
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a British school, either internationally or in the UK.
- Experience of teaching both History and Geography at KS3.
Preferred
- Experience with the National Curriculum for England.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
