Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in History and Geography at KS3.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching methods.
  • Participate in school events and community activities that promote the school’s mission and values.
  • Support the personal and academic development of students through mentorship and guidance.
  • Stay updated with current educational trends and continuously improve teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant UK teaching qualification: minimum of a BEd. or BA/BSc + PGCE/QTS in Humanities/History or Geography.
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a British school, either internationally or in the UK.
  • Experience of teaching both History and Geography at KS3.

Preferred

  • Experience with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience in a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
