The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students across Key Stages 3 to 5. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and help prepare them for GCSE and A-Level examinations in a well-resourced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students aged 11-18
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations with a focus on deep conceptual understanding
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching approach
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly
- Support the development of individual learning plans
- Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum planning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in mathematics or a closely related subject
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years' teaching experience in a British curriculum school
- Proven ability to deliver mathematics at KS3, GCSE (KS4), and A-Level (KS5)
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience with specific exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, or OCR)
- Track record of excellent student outcomes at GCSE and A-Level
- Experience teaching in an international school setting
