The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic department that consistently achieves outstanding results. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, with an emphasis on promoting a passion for mathematics both inside and outside the classroom. The successful candidate will contribute to a department that leads in national rankings and supports students in prestigious competitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5, including Further Mathematics at A Level.
- Deliver high-quality lessons using innovative and tech-driven resources.
- Promote Mathematics through co-curricular activities, including lunchtime and after-school clubs.
- Lead a form group and contribute to the pastoral care of students.
- Support students in preparing for Mathematics competitions and examinations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and strategies.
- Maintain a fluid setting system to ensure all students receive appropriate support.
- Encourage a culture of academic excellence and student engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Secondary Mathematics.
- Ability to teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Commitment to promoting Mathematics through co-curricular activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Further Mathematics at A Level.
- Experience with Edexcel specification at GCSE and A Level.
- Involvement in Mathematics competitions or extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with using technology in Mathematics teaching.
