The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic department that consistently achieves outstanding results. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, with an emphasis on promoting a passion for mathematics both inside and outside the classroom. The successful candidate will contribute to a department that leads in national rankings and supports students in prestigious competitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5, including Further Mathematics at A Level.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons using innovative and tech-driven resources.
  • Promote Mathematics through co-curricular activities, including lunchtime and after-school clubs.
  • Lead a form group and contribute to the pastoral care of students.
  • Support students in preparing for Mathematics competitions and examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and strategies.
  • Maintain a fluid setting system to ensure all students receive appropriate support.
  • Encourage a culture of academic excellence and student engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Secondary Mathematics.
  • Ability to teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Commitment to promoting Mathematics through co-curricular activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Further Mathematics at A Level.
  • Experience with Edexcel specification at GCSE and A Level.
  • Involvement in Mathematics competitions or extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with using technology in Mathematics teaching.
