The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Music Teacher to join our MYP and IBDP programs. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to a dynamic, international educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging music lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
  • Support students in developing their musical skills, creativity, and performance abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Manage and assess student progress using data-informed strategies.
  • Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities that promote student engagement and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative and challenging music programs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with current educational trends and best practices in music education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant university degree and recognized teaching qualification.
  • Extensive experience in teaching music, preferably within the IB program.
  • Strong commitment to student development and academic excellence.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate students effectively.
  • Proficient in using data to inform teaching and improve outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (IBDP).
  • Background in music performance or composition.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies in music education.
  • Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular music programs.
