Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Performing Arts lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Support the school’s mission of providing a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Performing Arts programme.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and personal development.
- Participate in staff development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.
- Support extracurricular activities and events related to Performing Arts.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent improvements in attainment.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos of ‘Every Child, Every Mind and Everybody matters’ through active involvement in student welfare and wellbeing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge in Performing Arts.
- At least 3 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
- Experience of teaching Performing Arts from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Preferred
- Experience teaching additional subjects, particularly English.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology in the classroom.
- Experience working in an international or British International school setting.
- Familiarity with AI or technology-enhanced learning initiatives.
