Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Performing Arts lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Support the school’s mission of providing a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Performing Arts programme.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and personal development.
  • Participate in staff development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.
  • Support extracurricular activities and events related to Performing Arts.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent improvements in attainment.
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos of ‘Every Child, Every Mind and Everybody matters’ through active involvement in student welfare and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge in Performing Arts.
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
  • Experience of teaching Performing Arts from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching additional subjects, particularly English.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology in the classroom.
  • Experience working in an international or British International school setting.
  • Familiarity with AI or technology-enhanced learning initiatives.
