Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Performing Arts lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement and creativity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support a well-rounded and inclusive curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued development.
  • Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s educational programs and initiatives.
  • Support the school’s ethos of ‘Every Child, Every Mind and Everybody matters’ through active involvement in student welfare and community engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge in Performing Arts.
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
  • Proven ability to teach Performing Arts at Secondary level (KS3 to KS5).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching additional subjects within the curriculum.
  • Familiarity with AI and technology-enhanced teaching methods.
  • Experience with international curricula or cross-cultural education settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
