The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal development of students. You will deliver engaging and innovative physics lessons that align with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, while fostering a love of learning and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality physics instruction to students in line with the IB curriculum.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student understanding and curiosity.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, collaboration, and independent learning.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and cross-curricular projects.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s academic programs.
- Support students’ academic and personal growth through mentorship and guidance.
- Stay current with developments in physics education and integrate new technologies and teaching methods into the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related field.
- A valid teaching qualification or certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum and assessment standards.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international or multilingual environment.
- Familiarity with bilingual education and multilingual teaching strategies.
- Experience with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) integration.
- Proficiency in French or German is a strong advantage.
- Experience with digital learning tools and online teaching platforms.
