Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics across the age and ability range, including GCSE and A-Level.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the school’s expectations and policy.
  • Use data to monitor and support student progress, implementing timely interventions.
  • Prepare students for public examinations and attend related meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through reports and parent-teacher meetings.
  • Maintain discipline and order in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on departmental initiatives and curriculum development.
  • Participate in professional development and stay current with curriculum innovations.
  • Support beginning teachers and take responsibility for a designated area of the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualifications in Physics and education.
  • Experience teaching both IGCSE and A-Level Physics in British Curriculum schools.
  • Strong understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with UK curriculum standards and assessment frameworks.
  • Familiarity with DSIB inspection expectations.
  • Willingness to contribute to school-wide initiatives and cultural programs.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and student support strategies.
