The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Physics Teacher with expertise in both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, develop their scientific understanding, and contribute to a forward-thinking educational community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physics at the high/secondary school level within the IB MYP and DP frameworks
- Design engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with IB curriculum standards and assessment criteria
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry-based learning and critical thinking
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental and school-wide initiatives
- Support student learning through effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues
- Utilize technology as an instructional tool to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Science Department
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related field
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in secondary education
- Proven experience teaching IB MYP and DP Physics courses
- Strong knowledge of IB curriculum frameworks, assessment criteria, and pedagogical approaches
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
Preferred
- Experience with student-centered learning and inquiry-based teaching methods
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a school community
- Commitment to continuous professional development within the IB framework
- Proficiency in bilingual instruction (Arabic/English)
- Experience with creative, physical, and community service activities
