The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English across the full age and ability range, including GCSE and A-Level.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and policy expectations.
  • Monitor and track student progress using data to inform teaching and implement timely interventions.
  • Prepare students for public examinations and provide accurate assessments and reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to shape departmental policy and develop innovative teaching practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and open events.
  • Support the professional development of beginning teachers and contribute to curriculum innovation.
  • Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in British Curriculum schools.
  • Proven ability to teach GCSE and A-Level English.
  • Strong understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Demonstrated success in student progress and outstanding teaching practice.
  • Experience working as part of a team and contributing to departmental initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum innovation and professional development.
  • Familiarity with the DSIB inspection framework and UAE educational standards.
  • Willingness to take on leadership roles in curriculum or administrative projects.
