Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students across a range of year groups.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum for England and school-specific initiatives.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement in attainment and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support a culture of professional development.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote student engagement and learning beyond the classroom.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Support the school’s ethos of ‘Every Child, Every Mind and Everybody matters’ through positive student interactions and pastoral care.
- Contribute to the development of innovative science projects, including those in partnership with external organisations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge in Science.
- At least 3 years of experience teaching within the National Curriculum for England.
- Experience of teaching Science from KS3 to KS5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching English from KS3 to KS5.
- Ability to teach another subject.
- Experience with AI and technology-based learning initiatives.
- Experience with international curricula or cross-cultural teaching environments.
