The Opportunity:

As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors across the school. Your proactive approach and ability to work independently or as part of a team will help maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and security of all individuals on school premises at all times.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations and security incidents.
  • Patrol designated areas and monitor security systems to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Assist with general caretaking duties, including maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, reports, and security checks.
  • Support the smooth running of the school during events and examinations.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors to ensure a safe environment.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and additional hours as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Front-line SIA qualification or equivalent in security or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a security or similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical capability to handle large items and respond to urgent matters.

Preferred

  • Full UK driving licence for manual transmission vehicles.
  • Experience with emergency response procedures.
  • Knowledge of security systems and monitoring equipment.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours and during school events.
