The Opportunity:

As an SEN Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the care, guidance, and resources needed to succeed. This is an opportunity to work in a school that values inclusivity, collaboration, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the school’s SEN support framework to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individual support plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with special educational needs and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Organise and facilitate meetings with parents, students, and staff to discuss support strategies and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support the development and delivery of training for staff on SEN-related topics.
  • Ensure that all SEN policies and procedures are followed consistently across the school.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and support for all students, regardless of need.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a SEN support role within an educational setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic school or faith-based environment.
  • Experience with assessment and support planning for students with a range of needs.
  • Familiarity with the use of SEN support software and systems.
  • Experience in liaising with external agencies and professionals.
