The Opportunity:

As the SEN Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the tailored support they need to thrive. This position offers the opportunity to lead, collaborate, and make a meaningful impact on student outcomes through effective planning and resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with special educational needs and adjust support strategies accordingly.
  • Provide professional guidance and training to staff on inclusive education practices and American Curriculum requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress, interventions, and support provided.
  • Advocate for the needs of students with special educational needs across the school community.
  • Stay updated on best practices in special education and ensure alignment with the school’s educational goals.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide additional support where needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education (Master’s preferred).
  • Recognized qualification in SEN/SEND.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, including direct experience with students of determination.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive education practices and the American Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • Previous UAE/GCC experience.
