The Opportunity:

As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive maths education tailored to individual needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students with special educational needs build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their full potential in a supportive and dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and teach high-quality Maths lessons to individual students and small groups, adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs.
  • Develop innovative, engaging learning modules that promote progression across key stages.
  • Monitor, assess, record and report on student progress in line with school and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans and support strategies.
  • Organise the classroom environment to create a stimulating and supportive learning space.
  • Ensure lessons are planned with pupil safety in mind, in line with risk assessments.
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to support staff to ensure effective delivery of learning.
  • Promote students’ educational, social and moral development in line with school policies.
  • Coordinate the teaching, assessment, recording and reporting of agreed subjects or areas of learning across key stages.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working within an education setting
  • Experience planning, delivering and teaching lessons
  • Experience working with pupils with additional or special educational needs

Preferred

  • Experience in SEN Maths education
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to design and implement individualised learning plans
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies
