Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate student progress, achievement, and enjoyment in learning
  • Work collaboratively with parents and multi-disciplinary teams to support student development
  • Implement innovative curriculum approaches tailored to individual needs
  • Design challenging and engaging teaching and learning experiences
  • Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative teaching team
  • Support the delivery of a holistic education that meets the needs of all students
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training
  • Participate in school improvement initiatives and development projects

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in SEN or mainstream education
  • Commitment to inclusive education and the needs of students with complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative
  • Passion for teaching and learning

Preferred

  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with complex behaviours
  • Knowledge of SEN-specific teaching methodologies such as SCERTS, ELKLAN, or PECS
  • Experience in behaviour management and medical procedures
  • Experience in curriculum development or innovation
