Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student progress, achievement, and enjoyment in learning
- Work collaboratively with parents and multi-disciplinary teams to support student development
- Implement innovative curriculum approaches tailored to individual needs
- Design challenging and engaging teaching and learning experiences
- Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative teaching team
- Support the delivery of a holistic education that meets the needs of all students
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
- Participate in school improvement initiatives and development projects
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in SEN or mainstream education
- Commitment to inclusive education and the needs of students with complex needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative
- Passion for teaching and learning
Preferred
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with complex behaviours
- Knowledge of SEN-specific teaching methodologies such as SCERTS, ELKLAN, or PECS
- Experience in behaviour management and medical procedures
- Experience in curriculum development or innovation
