Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Use innovative teaching methods to build confidence, curiosity, and independence in students
  • Assess academic progress alongside personal, social, and emotional development
  • Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with families, colleagues, and external professionals to support student success
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
  • Promote positive behaviour and social skills through consistent and supportive strategies
  • Stay up to date with best practices in special educational needs and inclusive teaching

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK QTS or equivalent with a relevant degree
  • Proven experience working with students with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties
  • Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students and families

Preferred

  • Experience with individualised education planning (IEP)
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and innovative teaching tools
  • Experience working in a school setting with a 4-day working week model
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies for students with complex needs
  • Previous experience in a school that values innovation and measurable outcomes
