Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs
- Use innovative teaching methods to build confidence, curiosity, and independence in students
- Assess academic progress alongside personal, social, and emotional development
- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and external professionals to support student success
- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Promote positive behaviour and social skills through consistent and supportive strategies
- Stay up to date with best practices in special educational needs and inclusive teaching
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- UK QTS or equivalent with a relevant degree
- Proven experience working with students with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties
- Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive teaching practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships with students and families
Preferred
- Experience with individualised education planning (IEP)
- Familiarity with assistive technology and innovative teaching tools
- Experience working in a school setting with a 4-day working week model
- Experience with behaviour management strategies for students with complex needs
- Previous experience in a school that values innovation and measurable outcomes
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum
- 4-Day Working Week: Work 80% of your hours, get 100% pay
