The Opportunity:

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting and educating students with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, and emotional behavioural difficulties. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive curriculum content tailored to the needs of students
  • Ensure consistent and effective implementation of the curriculum across all areas of the school
  • Collaborate with teachers and subject leads to integrate the LIFE curriculum into wider learning
  • Support students with complex needs through individualised and differentiated teaching strategies
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives
  • Work closely with other staff to support the holistic development of students
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Significant classroom experience, ideally in a SEN setting
  • Ability to teach core subjects within the primary and early KS3 curriculum
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Preferred

  • Experience in supporting students with SEMH needs
  • Familiarity with the LIFE curriculum
  • Experience working with students who have autism, ADHD, or complex behavioural needs
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement changes in teaching practice
