The Opportunity:
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting and educating students with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, and emotional behavioural difficulties. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive curriculum content tailored to the needs of students
- Ensure consistent and effective implementation of the curriculum across all areas of the school
- Collaborate with teachers and subject leads to integrate the LIFE curriculum into wider learning
- Support students with complex needs through individualised and differentiated teaching strategies
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives
- Work closely with other staff to support the holistic development of students
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Significant classroom experience, ideally in a SEN setting
- Ability to teach core subjects within the primary and early KS3 curriculum
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Preferred
- Experience in supporting students with SEMH needs
- Familiarity with the LIFE curriculum
- Experience working with students who have autism, ADHD, or complex behavioural needs
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement changes in teaching practice
