The Opportunity:

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering creative, individualised learning to pupils with complex SEN and ASC needs. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values hands-on teaching, innovation, and student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to pupils with complex SEN/ASC needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to create high-quality, inclusive learning experiences.
  • Support the emotional, social, and academic development of each pupil.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and respected.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and wellbeing in all aspects of school life.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and pupil voice throughout the school.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of teaching practices and learning outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching and support strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – suitable for ECTs or newly qualified teachers.
  • A nationally recognised degree.
  • Experience and passion for working with SEN/ASC pupils.
  • Strong commitment to inclusive education, pupil wellbeing, and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Early Years, Reception, or KS1 teaching experience.
  • A calm, engaging, and resilient approach, with an innovative and flexible teaching style.
