Key Responsibilities:
- Promote the progress, wellbeing, and engagement of all students.
- Deliver personalised, high-quality lessons that meet the learning needs of all pupils.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policy.
- Participate in interventions to raise student achievement and attainment.
- Support and contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
- Collaborate with internal and external agencies to support students’ learning and development.
- Act as a role model in professional practice, demonstrating high standards of teaching, behaviour management, and safeguarding.
- Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider life of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Experience teaching students with special educational needs (SEND).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Dedication to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development tailored to SEND students.
- Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies for students with complex needs.
- Experience with assessment and monitoring of student progress.
