Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the progress, wellbeing, and engagement of all students.
  • Deliver personalised, high-quality lessons that meet the learning needs of all pupils.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policy.
  • Participate in interventions to raise student achievement and attainment.
  • Support and contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies to support students’ learning and development.
  • Act as a role model in professional practice, demonstrating high standards of teaching, behaviour management, and safeguarding.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider life of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching students with special educational needs (SEND).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Dedication to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development tailored to SEND students.
  • Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies for students with complex needs.
  • Experience with assessment and monitoring of student progress.
