Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualised lessons tailored to each pupil’s learning needs and goals
  • Support emotional, social, and behavioural development through structured and positive approaches
  • Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student progress
  • Track and celebrate student achievements, ensuring all successes are recognised and celebrated
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of school policies and practices
  • Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs, interests, and abilities of each student
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support the overall development of students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEN education
  • Proven ability to work with pupils with additional or complex needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of autism-specific teaching strategies
  • Experience working with children with learning disabilities or challenging behaviours
