Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in a classroom setting
  • Assist in delivering a broad and inclusive curriculum tailored to individual needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and self-regulation through consistent support and guidance
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individual learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students achieve their full potential
  • Monitor and record student progress and communicate regularly with staff and parents
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture that values collaboration and student well-being

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Willingness to undertake training and support to develop your skills

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a classroom or educational support setting
  • Level 2 qualification in teaching or a related field
  • Experience with behaviour management and emotional support strategies
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and special needs support
