The Opportunity:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs and making a meaningful impact in their learning journey. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and dedicated team, offering tailored support in a small class setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs in a classroom setting
- Assist in planning and delivering individualized learning activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent support
- Monitor and record student progress and behavior
- Help maintain a positive and safe learning environment
- Assist in preparing and organizing resources for lessons
- Support students during breaks and transitions between lessons
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Good organizational and time management skills
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Qualifications in teaching or related fields
- Knowledge of autism and SEMH needs
- Experience with behavior management strategies
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £19,000 - £24,000 per annum
