Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children during learning activities, playtime, and mealtimes
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for all children
  • Encourage positive behaviour, sharing, and good manners
  • Assist with setting up and tidying away resources both indoors and outdoors
  • Work closely with staff to meet the needs of each child
  • Communicate effectively with both children and adults
  • Provide individualized support to children with special educational needs
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom culture

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Level 2 qualification as a Teaching Assistant
  • A warm, caring nature and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young children
  • Strong communication skills with both children and adults
  • Patience, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Experience in early years education
  • Previous experience in a school or early learning setting
  • Knowledge of child development and inclusive teaching practices
