Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with learning activities and care needs in a structured and nurturing environment.
  • Promote independence and encourage positive behaviour through consistent and compassionate support.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to create a sense of safety and belonging.
  • Assist teachers in delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum tailored to individual needs.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse and changing needs of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 3 or above)
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (paid or voluntary)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies

Preferred

  • Level 2+ qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of SEN, SEMH, or ASD
