Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized education plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with special educational needs and adjust support as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching practices.
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
- Advocate for students with special educational needs within the school community.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to student progress and interventions.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and support across the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status and a degree-level qualification.
- Proven experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning.
- Experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils in a school setting.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to working in a team and supporting the school’s leadership specialism.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a school with a faith designation.
- Experience of leading or contributing to SEN strategies at a school level.
- Experience with inclusive curriculum design and implementation.
- Experience with innovative and creative approaches to teaching and learning.
